Magician Zamaan Ismail was back with his tricks for the second year running at the event, held on 17 May 2018 at Malmaison Hotel, Birmingham
The 70 guests contributed a total of £665 excluding gift aid, in aid of Cure Leukaemia, which is one of the leading centres in the world for the development of new drug and transplant treatments for patients with blood cancers.
Branch president Andrew Porter, Chartered FCSI said: "The dinner had a diversity of attendees and representation of major, and smaller, firms in the region. There was an unintended theme of being a professional which resonated with all, and a short awards ceremony celebrating exceptional exam success in the region which was a pleasure and an honour to host. I enjoyed the evening and believe our guests did too."
The top table guests were: Emma Sellers, head of business, Waseley Hills School; Colin Chapman, Chartered FCSI, associate dean, Aston University; Ian Tansley, Chartered FCSI, head of office, Birmingham branch, Rathbones Investment Management; CISI CEO Simon Culhane, Chartered FCSI; David Jupp, Chartered FCSI, head of office, Birmingham branch, Quilter Cheviot; Eileen Schofield, chairperson, Birmingham Law Society; James McLaughlin, chief executive, Cure Leukaemia; Peter Gosling, chairperson, Birmingham and West Midlands branch, STEP; and Adam Wilkins, Chartered FCSI, head of office, Birmingham Branch, Brewin Dolphin.
