Steve Richards, who has written columns for the Guardian, Independent, New Statesman, and Spectator, brought elements of his Rock N Roll Politics one-man show to the after-dinner speech.

CISI Scotland branch president Maggie Lindsay, Chartered FCSI said: "The event was a wonderful celebration of achievement, with awards being presented to the hardest working students from across the Scotland region."

With the help of a fundraising raffle, over 140 guests contributed a total of £1,500, including gift aid, in aid of the Winning Scotland Foundation, which works to empower all young people in Scotland to be ambitious, versatile and resilient with the self-belief to succeed.
