Bev entertained the audience of 90 guests with enthralling anecdotes about his experiences with the bands he has toured with.

Guests contributed a total of £1,000 (including gift aid), in aid of Birmingham Children's Hospital Charity, a leading UK specialist paediatric center which offers expert care to over 90,000 children and young people from across the country every year. The donation was achieved through a raffle, which awarded the winners with a John Lewis voucher worth £100, M&S voucher for £50, four tickets for a show featuring Bev's new band Reign, afternoon tea for two at the Clayton Hotel (donated by The Clayton Hotel), and a bottle of champagne.

CISI Birmingham & West Midlands branch president Mark Rogers ACSI spoke of the success of the dinner, not least because "the whole evening was declared a BREXIT free zone".

Some of the top table guests were: Mingru Sun, senior lecturer, course director of MSc finance and investment, Birmingham City University; David Jupp, Chartered FCSI, head of office, Birmingham branch Quilter Cheviot; Kevin Moore, Chartered FCSI, director of global business development, CISI; Adam Wilkins, Chartered FCSI, head of office, Brewin Dolphin; Lawrence King, managing partner, Succession Wealth; Saranne Moreno, corporate strategic partnerships manager, Birmingham Children’s Hospital; Daniel Ryan, associate professor, Coventry University; Elisabeth Whybrow, vice chair, Birmingham & West Midlands branch STEP; Nicholas Moxon, senior partner & head of private client, Higgs & Son; and Dr Tinashe C.
