Guests at the event contributed over £897.50, excluding gift aid, in aid of Caring in Bristol, an effective local charity working to support the homeless and vulnerable people in Bristol.

Branch president Simon Tutton, Chartered MCSI said it was great to see a fantastic turnout building on the success of the previous year's event. "It was a really good way to cap off an active year and good to see lots of new firms getting involved. It was also nice to build deeper relationships with our partner organisations such as the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW), the University of the West of England, Bristol; and the Bank of England.

"We are looking forward to next year, welcoming more financial planners, becoming an active partner in the South West Financial Services Centre of Excellence and more high-profile events," he added.

Some of the top table guests were: Matt Dowse, charity director, Caring in Bristol; Philip Tellwright, 12S financial specialist, Business West; Nadine Fry, head of department, accounting, economics & finance, University of the West England; Richard Bennett, CISI regional director, global business development; Donna Kehoe, agent, South West Bank of England; Neil Cutting, deputy president, West of England Branch, ICAEW; Chris Joy, president, Bristol branch, Association of Chartered Certified Accountants UK; Charles Alexander, Lord Mayor's Consort, Bristol City Council; and Cllr. Lesley Alexander, Lord Mayor of the Bristol City Council.

The sponsors for this event were Aberdeen Asset Management, Blackrock, Invesco Perpetual, Janus Henderson, Natixis, M&G Investments and Schroders, without whom it would not have been possible. If you would like to support future dinners, please contact nikki.macmillan@cisi.org.
