Bonita is also the youngest in history to climb the Himalayan Mount Manaslu.
Guests contributed a total of £585 towards Greater Manchester Mayors Charity, whose focus is on the issues the residents of Greater Manchester care about – with an emphasis on homelessness. They currently support the Bed Every Night campaign, which aims to end the need for rough sleeping across the region.
CISI Manchester branch president Rebecca Jones said: "It was an honour and privilege to open the evening for my first year as president of the CISI Manchester, North West, and District branch committee. The evening began with welcome drinks followed by my introductory speech. Richard Bennett, head of membership at the CISI, then followed with a presentation of the President’s awards to some extremely talented award winners."
"I am extremely proud to note that in 2019, we held 27 CPD events and launched the Young Professionals Network. Much of this work includes collaborating with other professional bodies such as PIMFA, PFS, STEP, and ACCA and covered a wide range of topics such as great client questions, SMCR and Brexit."
"The Committee has also helped in the development of the CISI Manchester Education Programme, recruiting students from Loreto College and helping them with the level 2 Fundamentals of Financial Services professional qualification and work experience placements. In March 2019, BNY Mellon held the third Careers Insight Event where 54 students from nine schools across Greater Manchester were in attendance. The students benefited from a range of sessions including a skills masterclass, networking sessions and an activity focused on applying for opportunities and interviews. It is clear from the results, feedback and student’s engagement that these initiatives are invaluable so a huge thank you to everyone involved!"
