Dr Aidan McMichael, chair of the Belfast Titanic Society, provided the after-dinner entertainment to an audience of over 90 guests with an interactive talk about the shipbuilding industry, the Harland and Wolff Legacy and the Titanic ship.
Proceeds from the charity raffle draw, which amounted to £1,060, were raised on behalf of Lagan Dragons – Northern Ireland's first-ever dragon boat team, formed in 2015. Team members are mostly those who have either received a breast cancer diagnosis or been affected by breast cancer. The team is affiliated with the governing body Irish Dragon Boat Association and registered with the Community Association Sports Club.
CISI Northern Ireland branch president Emily Waterworth, Chartered FCSI said: "This event provided the opportunity for various recent high achievers in the CISI examinations to be recognised with awards, and the Ulster University Investment team of the year was also announced. Jim Winter, regional director of the CISI, updated attendees on the work of the institute."
